A Word About Physics...
Physics is a unique science in that is full of critical thinking skills! You'll have plenty of opportunities to perfect these critical thinking skills:
Physics, by it's very nature, is a great way to develop and apply the soft skills that determine success in college (and life). Those soft skills include:

Participate! Ask questions! Volunteer for demos! Take part in discussions! Respond to questions! You will learn much better if you do these things.
- Observe, hypothesize, analyze, and interpret physical data.
- Use mathematical reasoning to logically step through a problem related to the physical world.
- Synthesize information to draw reasonable conclusions.

- Perseverance: the ability to keep going in the face of adversity and failure.
- Communication: the ability to present your ideas well and to engage people listening.
- Organization: remember due dates and times, keep documents in one place and meet your lab group's needs (PLUS time management)
- Leadership: You have leadership skills within you, group work will help you take time to cultivate them.
- Inquisitiveness: Be a problem solver, look for opportunities for growth and success.
